PharmaPros’ management team is comprised of key resources with complementary knowledge, and expertise, upon which the company is founded. Each of these resources is responsible for strategic company direction, as well as the delivery and management of services and technology.
Ms. Regan is the founder of PharmaPros Corporation, a dynamic team of industry experts in delivering business solutions for clinical trials management. Throughout her more than 25 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry Ms. Regan has built a reputation as an expert in designing innovative technology solutions focused on process improvement.
Prior to founding PharmaPros, Ms. Regan worked for BBN, Software Products (Domain Solutions) from March 1995 – October 1996. Prior to BBN, Ms. Regan held various positions over a 14-year period within Bristol-Myers Squibb, first as an Analytical Laboratory Technologist, and later in the Scientific Information Systems group, as Applications Development Manager for the Clinical and Regulatory divisions.
Ms. Regan holds an AS in Chemistry from Middlesex County College and a BS in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
Mr. Neri has more than twelve years experience with software support and information technology and services in clinical data management, safety reporting, electronic data capture, and electronic patient diary solutions. With his extensive experience in working with clients to understand industry challenges and ensure client satisfaction in using technology, Mr. Neri has successfully led technology teams in building key business solutions. He is known throughout the industry as a thought leader, and has several white papers and articles published.
Mr. Neri is responsible for the development and execution of the corporate strategy surrounding the Company’s technologies. He leads product development and implementation services, and most recently, the strategic development effort to commercialize the company’s workflow tools into the Dataflow Manager solution. This included the refactoring and development of existing PharmaPros technologies into a single platform automated trial management capabilities, based on a service-oriented architecture and extensible to third party data acquisition APIs. Mr. Neri has served as a strategic member of the Senior Management Team at PharmaPros since 2005.
Mr. Neri joined PharmaPros in September 2002 as the Director of Technology and Communications. Prior to that, he was Manager of Client Infrastructure and Technical Support at PHT Corporation and Manager of Customer Support at Phase Forward Corporation. Mr. Neri began his career at BBN Domain as a Technical Support Engineer.
Mr. Neri holds a BS in Chemistry from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Ms. McCann has more than thirteen years experience in clinical research including clinical data management, clinical operations, project management, compliance and auditing. Her extensive experience in evaluating and applying clinical and compliance solutions helps organizations recognize and address gaps in their clinical trial processes. Ms. McCann is recognized as a leader in evaluating whether clinical trials are conducted in accordance with regulatory and corporate procedures and providing customized solutions to meet global regulatory compliance requirements.
In this role, Ms. McCann serves as an Advisor to both clients and internal team members on clinical compliance and best practices in trial management. She has led the development of the Company’s eDLM methodology as a corporate best practice, and is responsible for the internal and external training of the eDLM methodology. Ms. McCann has served on the Senior Management Team at PharmaPros, providing input and direction to successfully meet the corporate goals for more than five years.
Ms. McCann joined PharmaPros in May 2002 as the Director of Compliance and Study Services. Prior to that, she was a Medical Program Coordinator at Merck & Co., Inc., Senior GCP Specialist at Omnicare Clinical Research and Clinical Data Manager/Team Leader at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals.
Ms. McCann holds a MS in Behavioral Medicine from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University.
Ms. Simpson is Director of Data Services at PharmaPros. She has more than fifteen years experience in the clinical trial industry with ten years of specialized focus in the area of clinical data management. Her extensive experience in evaluating and applying data management solutions helps organizations recognize and address gaps in their clinical trial processes. Ms. Simpson is recognized as a leader in workflow analysis, and the application of workflow technology to meet clinical data requirements.
Ms. Simpson joined PharmaPros in October 1998 holding various positions as a Senior Consultant, and later Manager, Data Services. Prior to that, she was the Manager of Data Management at Human Genome Sciences, Inc. and Clinical Data Coordinator at CCR/Cato Research. Ms. Simpson spent several years as a Research Interviewer at Westat, specializing in studies related to epidemiology and social concerns. Early in her career Ms. Simpson served a three-year tour of duty with the National Institute of Health assigned to the Warren Grant Magnuson Clinical Center.
Ms. Ver Straate is Vice President, Strategic Development at PharmaPros. She has more than 18 years experience in the life sciences and healthcare industries. Ms. Ver Straate has deep experience in account development and client relationship management. Her domain expertise enables her to initiate relationships and design solutions to meet client needs. She has been instrumental in many successes over her long tenure at PharmaPros, which is second only to CEO Peg Regan.
Ms. Ver Straate joined PharmaPros in March 1998 as Director, Business Development and has held several key strategic roles including VP Sales and Client Services. Prior to joining PharmaPros, she held positions as Sr. Consultant at IBM Global Services, Director of Clinical Data Management at Collaborative Clinical Research, Sr. Consultant at BBN Domain and Supervisor, Clinical Data Management at Univax Biologics.
Ms. Ver Straate holds an MS in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama, and a BS in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland.
